If we could give this tour more than a 5 star rating we would! My husband and I stayed at Halcyon Beach in St. Lucia for our honeymoon. We met Skittles on the beach the first day we arrived and he gave us more information about their day trip excursion. He was so kind and did not make us feel pressured into signing up if we didn’t want to. On the day that we signed up for our excursion, the waves were too large to pick us up at the beach. Skittles made sure our safety came first and arranged for transportation to the local marina to be picked up. The excursion ended up being our favorite experience of the trip. We went to a waterfall, mud bath, had an authentic lunch at a beautiful restaurant on the water, saw the pitons, and went snorkeling. Our tour guide and captain both made sure we were okay at all times and that we felt safe, answered our questions, were our personal photographers and provided such a fun experience. Thank you Rasta D and Captain Oz for the amazing time. Do not second guess if this experience is worth it or not, it is!! The crew were amazing very knowledgeable giving lots of information and taking photos of guests at the pitons a lovely memory to keep. Sugar beach was beautiful and the snorkelling fantastic but if going take your water shoes as its very pebbley getting into the water at the snorkel part. Thank you for a wonderful trip.Posted on TripadvisorVerified Best way to experience St. Lucia I would rate this experience 6/5 stars if I could. We're staying at Sandals Halycon in St. Lucia. On the beach there were locals selling their boat tours - after seeing everything that was included my wife and I decided to cancel our excursion with another company, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. Our tour guide was named Skittles, seems to be a local celebrity, if you have the opportunity to book with him I highly suggest it. Lei'd Back Boat Tours picks you right up off the beach at Sandals, this was very convenient due to the road system/traffic can be a nightmare to navigate on St. Lucia. The first stop was Soufriere where we docked and took a taxi up to the volcanic mud baths - which were a very unique experience and supposed to be great for your skin. Second, we drove about 15 minutes to a waterfall where we had an opportunity to go in the water and take pictures - water was a little cold but very refreshing and another unique experience. Third stop, we ate at a local restaurant for authentic St. Lucia cuisine, it was right off the beach and delicious. From the restaurant the boat was waiting on us to load for our next destination. Fourth stop, from Soufriere we traveled to Sugar Beach and the famous Piton Mountains. This was our favorite part of the whole trip. Sugar Beach is so beautiful and picturesque it feels like you're in a dream. You have about 45 minutes to snorkel in absolutely crystal clear water. We had the chance to see so many fish and sea life. Fifth stop, from here you begin your travel from the southwest part of the island back to the resort. We made a stop at Marigot Bay where Skittles pointed out a house on a hill that was used in Romancing the Stone and the bay was used for the filming of the original Dr. Doolittle in 1967. On the way back, we stopped at a location used in filming of Pirates of the Caribbean. Skittles and his crew did a great job making the day such a unique experience. He pointed out a lot of the history and geography of the island. After we snorkled on the way back, Skittles broke out the spiced rum, rum punch, beer, soda and juice while we jammed out to music. Great ride back to end the day. Highly recommend Lei'd Back Boat Tours - especially with Skittles. We were well looked after by the team and Skittles as our guide was first class. Highlights were the snorkelling, saw loads of fish and even a giant turtle plus a bat cave. Lunch at a local spot with wonderfully fresh ingredients cooked in St Lucian style. Took this trip on Friday, December 12, 2025 with five couples! —- Skittles was our guide, and I would say it was his attentiveness to the details of the history and beauty of St. Lucia as well as all the little things he did for our group on the trip! From pointing out homes and restaurants where movies had been shot, as well as homes of celebrities! Skittles took everyone’s phone and made sure he took pictures for memories of a lifetime of our experience at the exfoliating mudbath, to the waterfalls, and a little side trip showing us cocoa beans, cinnamon trees, and bay leaves in addition to the multiple varieties of banana trees! Our lunch at 3 beez in Soufre where skittles, played waiter and bus boy!, we were able to snorkel at Sugar Beach and skittles gave us a brief tour of the grounds while there! Can’t say enough about skittles!!! —— if you are in St. Lucia near Castries, you need to search out skittles and make sure he is the guide for the day! He took us to the mud bath and waterfall which was included in our tour however he went above and beyond and took us to additional sites so we got to experience the beauty of St Lucia. The stops are amazing from the mud baths to the waterfalls but he also stopped on the side of the road for a quick show and tell of coco plants and cinnamon bark. This excursion with Skittles was absolutely fabulous!!! We did a excursion with him in October 2015 while we in St Lucia getting married and came back 10 years later and to our surprise he is still there!!!! He caught us coming back from breakfast on the first day of our honeymoon at Sandals Halcyon and gave us all the information for his tour. Our second day, we woke up with a missing phone charger and he so kindly let us borrow his charger for my husband to use. We immediately booked with him. This was the only excursion we did on our honeymoon and WELL worth it. The boat ride was so much fun, the scenery, stunning!!! We stopped in view of the Pitons and Skittles snapped some photos of us with the mountains in the background. We explored a few other locations on the boat and then ventured to Soufriere where we got a shuttle to go to Sulfur Springs mud baths. Followed by a trip to the “power shower” - Toraille Waterfall. Skittles showed us some cinnamon/banana/cacao trees, and explained a bit how each are processed from the tree into their final product. We got lunch at a small, local restaurant with delicious food, then traveled to Sugar Beach for snorkeling - my favorite part!! Then back to our resort via boat. Highly recommend this trip for anyone making a trip to Saint Lucia!! Skittles and his team are beyond exceptional!
